Stretching from Palza Catalunya to the Christophors Colombus monument in Port Vell, Las Ramblas is the most famous and important street in Barcelona. Composed of several smaller streets within the same name in approx. 1,2km, it connects the Gothic quarter with the Raval area.

Popular with both locals and tourists and crowded day and night, the lively Ramblas has many attractions: starting from the unique street artists standing on both sides to the bars, restaurants, shops, offices, museums, galleries, tourist information points, floral shops and much more.

Walking down the Ramblas, visitor will encounter many of the city´s landmarks starting from the Liceu theater (Gran Teatre de Liceu), the most prestigious and antic theater of Barcelona with opera and ballet shows for more than 150 years. La Boqueria market is located further down and offers a delicious range of local and international gastronomic produce while Font de Canalets is a very popular fountain, especially as it’s the celebratory point of Barcelona F.C football fans. Popular bars and restaurants with terraces are found in Plaza Real, a square with palm trees and a fountain in the centre, accessed by the Ramblas.
